Welcome to Reagan Elementary!

Greetings Timberwolf Parents,
On behalf of the Reagan staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2024-25 school year! My name is Pamela Hoffhous, and I am the proud principal of Reagan Elementary School, home of the Timberwolves! This year will mark my 31st year in education and my 29th year in Clovis Unified School District! I look forward to serving our students, staff and parent community for a sixth year! We are excited to begin our 19th school year as one of Reagan Educational Center’s feeder elementary schools. Reagan Elementary students proudly wear our school colors of navy blue, hunter green and silver. Reagan is one of 4 elementary schools that will feed into Reyburn Intermediate and Clovis East High School. We are the Clovis East Area - also known as the WOLFPACK!

As we begin the 2024-25 School Year, I want to reassure you that student and staff safety continues to be our  #1 priority, along with providing our students with the highest of quality education. Our Timberwolves deserved the very best educational experience and our teachers and staff are all highly qualified for the job and I couldn't be more proud of the work they do and their desire for continueous improvement.

Our district motto this year is "Building on the Legacy" which allows us to reflect on maintaining high standards students, staff, and community as well as academics. At Reagan our theme/motto is "A League of our Own" as we continue to strive to be the BEST in Mind, Body and Spirit and we can achieve all our goals when we work together and aspire toward excellence. This is possible when all stakeholders work together with the same goal in mind.  Our students, staff are unified in their commitment day in and day out to be thoughtful about their interactions with our Timberwolves - encourage, inspire, and create positive interactions.  We hold ourselves to high standards and follow a PACK Pride mentality.  PACK stands for “Prepared, Accountable, Caring, and Kind!”
Reagan Elementary has received Platinum Recognition by the state of California for our PBIS model over the last 7 years which means that Reagan has continued to implement effective research-based interventions to support our students both academically and behaviorally. Reagan has also earned recognition by Fresno State University as a Bonner School of Character Education and Citizenship Award! Additionally, Reagan was also received the 2022 California Pivotal Practice Award for continuing to keep our students engaged and connected to school during the most challenging times in education. To say I am a proud principal is an understatement. It takes the entire PACK for programs to be effecitive - this staff is all in! We are also proud to continue promoting the development of positive character strength through the school-wide implementation of Positivity Project. Reagan will continue to provide students with character strength knowledge and development through year 6 . This will provide further education on character development, citizenship, and empathy for others - with the motto of "Other People Mindset". Reagan is also again working on becoming a Common Sense Digital Citizenship School by providing all students lessons on how to be responsible while accessing technology. Additionally, Reagan will begin the implementing steps to becoming an AVID school and providing best practices that support all students in holding them to high expectations and preparing them for college and career readiness by implementing a College and Career Culture, a school-wide focus on notetaking, and Building Relational Capacity! These are just a few areas that we feel contribute toward the development of the whole child, beyond the textbooks.

I hope that you find some way to get involved at Reagan regardless of how much or how little of time you have to offer - we welcome you and your partnership in your child's education. This website has been prepared to provide a convenient reference for basic and essential information concerning the operation of the school.  We hope you find it useful and informative.  Please contact the school office at any time if you have questions, concerns, or suggestions.

"We are the showcase of the future.  And it is within our power to mold that future - this year and for decades to come.  It can be as grand and great as we make it." - Ronald W. Reagan
